TOO much Stress

Stress causes a rush of cortisol and norepinephrine in your system. These hormones raise your blood pressure which prepares you to either fight the stress or flee from it. Although it is only a temporary reaction; this elevation in blood pressure can still damage blood vessels which can lead to impaired kidney function.

Ways To Reduce Stress Level

  • Exercise
  • Deep Breathing
  • Sleep (7-8 hours)
  • Simplify your life (don’t spread yourself too thin; overworking yourself)
  • Visit Nature (go inside a forest a for 20 mins)
  • Reduce social media intake
  • Stretching
  • Praying

In addition, people with reduced kidney function also have impaired ability to excrete salt. Excess salt in the body causes water retention, which increases blood pressure. Increased blood pressure further damages the kidneys, which worsens their capacity to excrete salt.
