Matthew 6:1 “ Don’t do your charitable deeds before men”

Matthew 6:1 — 6:4

6:1 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your father in Heaven”

6:2 “ Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you; they have their reward”.

6:3 — 6:4 “ But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, That your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly”

So as I read this scripture, I could said my @__ComeUp page could fall between these lines but however my intention wasn’t to be seen by men. I feel that as long as your intention was right; than you should be okay. However, I do agree that you shouldn’t be doing good deeds and recording them/shouting from the rooftops of your deed to be seen by men.

There are a lot of beings that do such; now I even question charities that do such, celebrities, athletes and just everyday humans who publicize their deeds so they could be seen. I feel that if you had to publicize it; then it’s not authentic. Would you do that deed in secret? If so, I applaud you but if not then that’s how you know that you were hoping to be seen by men.
