Your Skin is POWERFUL beyond measures. Your skin has the ability to produce Vitamin D when exposed to sunlight.
A compound called 7-dehydrocholestrol is activated when exposed to the UVB sun ray. Right after it hits the skin, it takes a visit to the liver and kidneys. There it’s transformed 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D, which is the active form of vitamin D.
So if you think you’re not getting enough Vitamin D in your daily nutrition, than just head outside and enjoy the sunlight.
- At least spend 20 mins in the sunlight (exposure to skin)
Vitamin D: every cell in the body contains vitamin D receptors, so it’s important to include vitamin D in your daily nutrition due to its importance for optimal overall function.
