In the world we live in now, connections are everything! You can get so far just by knowing the right people.
However, if you burn the bridges than things won’t look to well for you. What I mean by “burning bridges” is running relationships that you had with friends, teammates, teachers, managers and etc.
Bridges are like opportunities, and are meant to connect two places, so that you can take advantage of this opportunity of crossing over to the next place. However, as we grow older and wiser, there are times when you may not want to go back, and decide to burn down a bridge forever. Burning bridges is an idiomatic expression that used particularly in a job situation
You never know who you will need in the future, so it is always good to treat people how you want to be treated.
I say that to say this: My two newest jobs are based off connections. Me keeping a good relationship with my middle school and never burning that bridge. Helped me obtain a job! You may ask how? I say because they knew what kind of person I was and us having that relationship established already helped me a lot.
Furthermore, My connection with my old high school coach helped me obtain my newest job as well. We had already had that relationship established in high school so that was one less thing to worry about.
Some people may say that you should burn some bridges because some roads aren’t meant to be traveled again. I say keep all opportunities open.
