2 Things To Do Before GYM

Before you go to the gym there are 2 main things that you need to focus on.

GET FUEL

This doesn’t mean that you have to go out and by preworkout supplements for the gym, even though they can be very beneficial to you. I say “GET FUEL” to say that we need energy for the gym. You don’t want to head to a gym on a empty stomach. You should just eat something that will help you SMASH THE GYM!

Examples:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Peanut Butter with Rice Cakes
  • Bananas
  • Oatmeal
  • PB & J Sandwhich
  • Granola Bars
  • Yogurt
  • Trail Mix
  • Half a Bagel

Eating one of the items above will prolong your workout. They will provide extra energy, and even help with burning fat.

HYDRATE UP 

You must be consuming at least 12 – 20 oz of water before the gym. Without water, cells don’t function properly and they certainly don’t function to their full potential during exercise. This is why it is important to hydrate before exercise. Dehydration lowers hormone levels necessary for strong muscles.

Don’t forget to sip water during your workout and drink enough to replenish the fluids your body lost through sweat.
