Cutting Calories
To lose weight, we need to expend more energy than we take in. (energy is measured in calories. Our body is designed to survive so when you cut calories, your body reacts to that because you basically stole food from yourself. If you decide to stop consuming the daily recommended calories your metabolism will start to slow down.
Furthermore:
- You will feel deprived, lacking/wanting, can’t do things
- Cutting calories is cutting muscle tissue (lean muscle)
Muscle is your best friend; it helps burn calories
- It increases stress hormones
- It results in consistent overeating (Nutrition Deficiency)
